Lets face it: Most knitters own a cat (or cats). It's a stereo-type that's generally true, and honey, ain't nothing wrong with that. This ring is for knitters who happen to have the pleasure of a cat's (or cats) company in their daily lives.
Knitting Kitty Net Ring Guide Lines
1. You must be a knitter and have a knitting blog.
2. Of course, you must have a cat and mention them in your (regularly updated) knitting blog from time to time.
3. The ring code must appear somewhere on your knitting blog, not on any other page.
4. The ring code must be visible, not hidden at the bottom of a blog where most people don't look.
5. Save the ring image on YOUR own web site sever or photo album. Directly using the image saved on my server is a major no no. Doing this will get your site deleted.
6. You have one week to put up the ring code before you're added to the ring. If it's not up by then, your site's submission will not be accepted.
7. Keep the RingSurf email you get for your records.
8. If you're going to be away from your blog for a period of time, please, be courteous to your readers and mention it on your blog before you take a leave of absence.
9. No matter what, you can resubmit any time if you have been deleted before.
10. When you join the ring, make sure to write in your blog address EXACTLY as shown on your address bar when your site is pulled up. http:// and all. 1/3 of all ring applicants will be refused because they have a wrong or incomplete blog address on their ring application. I don't have the time to make any corrections for anyone, nor do I want to. Like everyone else, I have better things to do, like knit.
11. If you no longer want to be a part of this ring, unjoin your self It's not difficult to do.
12. I check ring application about every 7 to 10 days. My job take up more of my free time than I'd like.
13. You MUST have a PREVIOUS and NEXT link on your knitting kitty ring code. Having a link that goes straight to the join page defeats the purpose of a ring. If you do not have a next and pervious link on your ring, you will not be accepted. I will also go through the ring and weed out people that currently have only a link back to this page. Rule number 13 has been added to remind everyone that the point of a ring is to surf around from blog to blog with out end. Leaving out the previous and next the disrupts the the surfing and the ring as a whole.

503 crazy cats now pawing around the ring >*.^<
I've always been a fan of kettle, hand-dyed, & hand-spun yarn. Companies such as Manos De Uruguay, Malabrigos, and Rio De La Plata I've always held amongst my favorite.
The rich colors, and lustrous sheen these small companies produce their yarn is impossible to compare. There's something rich and rustic about these yarns. So beautiful that it's almost a shame to undo them from their skein. Fibrous pieces of art.
So you can imagine my surprise when I walked into a quaint yarn shop (wonderful service) in Eagle rock, and on the table was a tiny shipment of sock yarn and it was by Rio De La Plata!
I knit socks almost exclusively, so you can imagine the levels of serotonin that shot through my body was immense. I snapped up to skeins of Deep Water SS24, and with the 437 yardage @ $16.00 (I usually fine this yardage for about $24-$27, or 220 yards for $12-$16) per hank, it was a great deal.
Rio De La Plata sock yarn is so soft, evenly spun, deeply colored, shines like the sun, generous yardage, and is super washed! I've not seen sock yarn like this, ever. The only yarn that comes vaguely close to is Koigu KPPPM.
Run to your yarn stores see if they have it, if not ask that they carry it in their shop. It's beyond quality with affordable pricing. Can't get better than that!
